DHS Soccer
crossbar team app
DHS uses the Crossbar Mobile app for text/chat, email, schedule, roster, etc. Use of the app does not mean that a player has been selected to a team, nor does it mean a player is registered to Stetson FA (provider of the app) as a club player.
Tryouts and Training
Tryouts begin October 13, 4:00 at Sperling Sports Complex. Players should plan to train Monday through Friday.
Games
Games begin in early November.
Home games are at Sperling. JV usually plays at 5:00, Varsity at 7:00.
Transportation
Practices & Home Games: players must have their own transportation to practices and home games - drive, ride, carpool.
Away Games: we will only take a bus to games outside Volusia County.
Pay to Play
Players must submit their VCS required Pay to Play fee - $75 for the first sport - prior to playing in any game.
Fundraising
VCS/DHS do not pay any team expenses beyond coaching supplements. We must raise money to pay for fields, referees, buses, drivers, uniforms, equipment. Some of this comes from gate receipts at games, but that does not cover all our needs.
We plan to purchase new Varsity and JV uniforms and practice shirts, and Varsity track suits. This will allow the JV team to use the jackets the Varsity used last year (the JV have not had jackets in the past. In order to purchase these we need to raise about $12,000.
