Hybrid teams compete in BOTH the Youth League AND at the Competitive level. The purpose of the program is to provide players with a developmental stage between Youth League and Competitive. We believe it is important for these players to get the extra play and attention they want without leaving behind their Youth League peers who will be critical to success in the future. Hybrid players participate fully in the Youth League with their own dedicated coach. They also practice extra weeks prior to the start of each Youth League season and then compete on weekends at the Competitive level during the Youth League season.
The Hybrid program is for players born in 2015 participating in the Green Division of the Youth League.
Mandatory training occurs in the Fall and Spring with optional training in the Summer and Winter.
Extra practices are at PFC Emory L Bennett Park in Orange. Youth League sessions are at Citrus Grove Elementary School. Competitive home games are New Smyrna Beach Sports complex. Competitive away games are in various locations throughout Central Florida, generally within an hour's drive.
Practices are on Mondays and Fridays at 6:30 with an optional day on Wednesdays at Bennett.
Hybrid players have 8 Youth League matches each Fall and Spring & 8-10 Competitive league matches on weekends each season, Fall & Spring. A typical balance is 75% Saturdays, 25% Sundays after church.
Uniforms are purchased separately in the SFA Club Store online.
Hybrid fees are $660. Pay in full or in monthly payments.
Hybrid players must also register separately for the Youth League in the Fall and Spring.
The Hybrid program is a developmental and financial step between Youth League and Competitive, incorporating aspects of both programs.
This link will take you to the competitive registration but you will only be charged the Hybrid rate.
