Speed & Agility

Speed, Strength, Agility, Flexibility, and Injury Prevention are all critical but often overlooked areas of soccer training. SFA is committed to training the whole athlete and we are proud to introduce Alex Lopez as our new Speed, Agility & Strength Coach.

The program uses age-appropriate exercises to begin the process of improving our athletes' general movement mechanics, injury prevention, and increasing strength, speed, and agility. Alex is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA, CSCCA, & USAWA. He is an adjunct professor at UCF, has worked with the Orlando Sharks, USA National Softball Team, Pittsburgh Pirates & Cincinnati Reds minor league teams, Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Birmingham Southern, Assistant Strength Coach & Sport Psychology consultant at FSU, and was an NCO in charge of personal fitness and testing in the US Army.

Speed & Agility training is once a week for Competitive players. The cost is covered by the registration fee.

2010-2013 Boys - 5:30

Youth League & Hybrid

Speed & Agility training is a 6-session program for Youth League & Hybrid players. The program includes 6 sessions each season for $75.

White Division - 5:00

Hybrid Team - 5:30

2016 Training group - 5:30

Green Division - 6:00

Fall

All SFA players can use this link to register for Speed & Agility Training, but Youth League players who registered for this training during Youth League registration do not need to register again.
